Virginia State Police Senior Trooper J.W. Krom investigated the two-vehicle crash at U.S. Route 17 and Town Bridge Road that occurred on April 18 at 5 p.m., reported Sgt. J. Teagle of the Virginia State Police’s Gloucester office.
Through Trooper Krom’s investigation, he found that a 2014 Chevrolet driven by Amanda Kate Garnett of Urbanna, attempted to cross northbound U.S. 17 from Town Bridge Road and was struck by a 2009 Cadillac that was driven by Leo Roye South of an Urbanna address. According to authorities, South was injured in the crash, but was not transported.
Garnett was issued a Virginia Uniform Summons for failure to yield the right of way, Sgt. Teagle said.
