The Mathews Department of Social Services will host a job fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 22 at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, 7138 Buckley Hall Road, Hudgins.
Numerous employers from Middlesex, Mathews, Gloucester, Lancaster and Newport News will participate, reported self-sufficiency specialist II Alice Stewart. Various fields will be represented including medical, retail, management, education, food service, manufacturing, administrative, clerical, financial and trades.
Those looking for a job are urged to come out and meet employers like Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital, Newport News Shipbuilding, Mathews County Public Schools, Dollar General Corp., Star Fields LLC, Virginia Department of Health Three Rivers Health District, Americare Plus, Middle Peninsula Northern Neck Behavioral Health, Rappahannock Community College and Bay Aging, said Stewart.
“There are many positions available and you could be their next hire,” she said. “Let us help you find the job you’ve been looking for.”
