Howard W. Roane Jr., 85, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025.
He was a longtime member of Urbanna Baptist Church and retired from Newport News Shipbuilding, where he worked as a machinist and planner.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Wilson Roane and Kate Meekins McNamara; and his wife, Harriet L. Roane.
He is survived by his three daughters, Karen Roane, Deborah Epperley (Mike), and Daphne Melvin (David); five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
A service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Urbanna Baptist Church.
Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, is assisting the family.
