
The Christchurch School (CCS) boys tennis team celebrated a 9-0 victory over New Kent High School this month. The team, which practices on the CCS campus courts, hosts its matches at the Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club in Kilmarnock.
The coaches include Greg Forehand, Desmond Smith and Taiwan Forest. Team captains for the spring include Yuto Uchiyama of Ichikawa-Shi, Japan, CJ DuNomes of Christchurch, and Otto Eley of White Stone.
The Seahorses play in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II. Other schools in the division are Blue Ridge School, Carlisle School, The Carmel School, The Covenant School, Denbigh Baptist Christian School, Eastern Mennonite School, Evergreen Christian, Hampton Christian Academy, Hampton Roads Academy, Hargrave Military Academy, Highland School, Immanuel Christian School, Miller School of Albemarle, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, New Covenant Schools, Norfolk Collegiate, North Cross School, Peninsula Catholic, Portsmouth Christian, Seton School, The Steward School, Trinity Christian School, Veritas School, Virginia Episcopal School, Wakefield School and Williamsburg Christian Academy.
