On Thursday night, April 17, at 7 p.m. Urbanna Baptist Church will be offering a Maundy Thursday Service that will reflect on the Thursday night events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday.

Congregants at Lower United Methodist Church (LUMC) at 120 Lower Church Road, Hartfield, invite everyone to join them in LUMC Fellowship Hall on Sunday at 9:45 a.m. as they gather for Breakfast with Friends. They’ll remain in the hall for their casual worship service at 10:30 a.m. This week we are celebrating Palm Sunday.
The community is invited to stop by LUMC Fellowship Hall every Wednesday between 7:30-9 a.m. for free, delicious, hand-crafted coffee or hot chocolate from the God’s Aroma coffee ministry.
Also, all are welcome to join them for a time of group prayer, every Wednesday at 4 p.m. On Thursday, April 17, they’ll have a Maundy Thursday worship service at 7 p.m.

Zion Branch Baptist Church, Saluda, Women’s Ministry will celebrate Women’s Day on May 4 at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Rose Jarvis of Mount Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries and the guest choir will be Emmaus Baptist Church Combined Choir. The service will be offered at Lebanon Baptist Church, 11821 Tidewater Trail, Saluda.
Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10256 Indian Road, Gloucester, will have an in-person worship service on Sunday, April 13, at 11 a.m. Pastor Eugene Comithier II will preach and the Youth Choir will sing.
In-person Sunday school will be offered at 9:45 a.m.
No Bible study will be offered on Wednesday, April 16.

Southside Rappahannock Baptist Association and its allied ministries, and the Rev. Dr. Carla E. Lightfoot, moderator, announce their 61st annual King and Queen Contest, which is set for 3 p.m. on Palm Sunday, April 13, at Second Mount Olive Baptist Church, 3156 Devils Three Jump Road, Little Plymouth, where Elder Reginald Williams Sr. is the pastor. Please note this is a different location from the one announced earlier.
The King and Queen Contest benefits the Baptist Center of Virginia Inc. in South Chesterfield.
Immanuel Baptist Church, Saluda, will celebrate the seventh Anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Dr. John C. Wright Jr., and First Lady Minister Dr. Yinoris Wright, on Sunday, April 27.
Worship services will start at 11 a.m. with Minister Wayne King, who will deliver The Preached Word. Following the morning service, lunch will be served.
The afternoon service will convene at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs Sr. of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Petersburg.
