Public invited to see great baseball at Christchurch School

The Christchurch School baseball team is set to host Fork Union Military Academy (FUMA) at 4 p.m. today, Thursday, April 3. The Fighting Seahorses then head to Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg on Saturday, April 5, to take on the Fighting Bishops in a double header that starts at 1 p.m. On Friday, April 11, the Seahorses return to their home diamond to host Catholic High School from Virginia Beach at 4:30 p.m. 

The last time the Seahorses met up with FUMA this season on March 22, they came home with a victory, defeating the Blue Devils 14-0.

Coaches

Joey Fitchett is CCS’s head baseball coach. He is assisted by Floyd Crouch and Chad Brown. Team captains are Cameron Byers, ’25, who is the son of Chris Byers of Williamsburg, Amanda Kirby of Fredericksburg, and nephew of Floyd Crouch of Saluda);  Mac Bargatze, ’25, who is son of Elizabeth Bargatze and Hampton Bargatze of Richmond; and Trey Fitchett, ’26, who is the son of Joey and Nina Fitchett of Saluda.

The public is invited to come to games at Davies Field on CCS’s upper campus any day to watch great baseball!
