Middlesex High School basketball star forward JaQuan Griffin was named to the first time all-region A basketball team for the 2024-2025 season.
Griffin a 1,000-point career performer for the Chargers paced MHS to a 2024 state semi-final appearance and in 2025 led Middlesex to the semi-finals in the Region A tournament.
The Chargers had two other players to make the Region A all-second team as center Nielson McMinn made the team along with sophomore Davonte Griffin. J. Griffin and McMinn are seniors.
Others to make the first team were Lundy Tyreek, Northumberland; Jamarcus Russell, Lancaster; Terrell Diggs, Lancaster; JD Barber, Northumberland; Jordyn Cosby, Mathews; Tre Greene, Mathews; and Jaylen Burrell, Westmoreland.
