Angelos Markov

Angelos Markov, a loving father, grandfather, and beloved member of the Urbanna community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the age of 86.

Angelos was a man of quiet strength and unwavering love. He cherished his family above all else.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Victoria Markov; parents, Konstantine and Alexandra Markov; and grandson, Anthony Vaziouracis.

Angelos is survived by his eldest daughter, Alexandra Rush, and her husband, Jim Rush; his daughter, Liberty Bushey, and her husband, David Bushey; his daughter, Angelina Deagle, and her husband, Eric Deagle. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Emilia Randler, Angelos Vaziouracis, Victoria and Kevin McCash, Alexander Bushey, Zacharias Deagle, and great-grandson, Colton Vaziouracis.

Angelos dedicated over 50 years of his life to the restaurant industry. In 1991, he and his family brought their culinary passion to Urbanna, founding Angelos Colonial Pizza Restaurant. This beloved local landmark has brought joy and delicious food to countless residents and visitors throughout the years.

Visitation will be conducted on Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m., followed by a formal service to celebrate Angelos’s life at 11 a.m. at Church of the Visitation in Topping.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his honor to the Urbanna Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, which held a special place in his heart.

Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda is assisting the family.
