Urbanna United Methodist Church (UUMC) invites the community to its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner, which is set for 5-7 p.m. March 4. A brief Ash Wednesday Service will be offered on that Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the UUMC sanctuary to accommodate those attending the pancake supper.
The supper, which is free, is sponsored by the UUMC Men’s group and any donations given will go towards the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
Supper offerings include pancakes with or without chocolate chips, bacon, fried apples and beverage in the UUMC Fellowship Hall.

Philippi Christian Church in Deltaville will have a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner Fundraiser on Tuesday, March 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, apples, fruit, toppings, syrup and beverages. The suggested price is $12 for adults, free for children 12 and younger. You can dine in or take out. The funds raised will benefit the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department and Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
