MC Sports Complex 2025 leaders elected

The Middlesex County Sports Complex Committee conducted its annual organizational meeting last month at the Steamboat Restaurant at Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield.

The board elected co-chairmen, Tammie  Putney and Jackie Duke Taylor; treasurer, Johnny Fleet; and secretary, James Hatton.  Other members of the board are Don Harris, Wayne Jessie, Joe Heyman and Craig Revere.

Taylor said that the group has a number of ongoing fundraisers with its most productive being its annual golf tournament. Another ongoing fundraiser is the “Pathway to Success” brick project.

Inscriptions and donors for recently purchased bricks include:

  • IN HONOR OF ERIC FAUDREE by Travis Faudree.
  • IN HONOR OF HARLEY MOORE, THE BARRICK FAMILY by Kevin Barrick.
  • IN MEMORY OF CYNTHIA BARLOWE by Robin Barlowe.
  • IN HONOR OF MATTHEW GRANT WILSON & THOMAS CLAY WILSON by Bobby Wilson.
  • IN HONOR OF ROBERT “BOBBY” GRANT WILSON.

The bricks are $150 for family/individuals and $200 per brick for organizations/businesses.
