Middlesex County Public Schools is anticipating Virginia Kindness Week

Middlesex County Public Schools (MCPS) is thriving as the first half of the school year comes to a close. Fueled by the dedication of our faculty, the unwavering support of our families, and the vibrant energy of our community, MCPS continues to make significant strides towards its vision of excellence outlined in the “Charting Our Course” strategic plan. Students are demonstrating exceptional growth across all grade levels.

The Middlesex Elementary School (MES) STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering And Math) Lab is providing engaging hands-on learning experiences, while St. Clare Walker (SCW) Middle School eighth graders conducted a crystal snowflake lab to observe supersaturation. Middlesex High School (MHS) history classes continue to delve deeper into local history through field trips to the Middlesex County Museum, where students are reading old maps, conducting research, and writing about their findings.

Furthermore, MCPS is prioritizing a positive learning environment. MES students are actively collecting “Colt Horseshoes” to recognize positive behavior, while SCW students are enjoying rewards for demonstrating school expectations. MHS counselors are prioritizing student success by communicating with parents and meeting with students about academic progress…
