Are you an oyster enthusiast or have you thought about becoming an oyster gardener? Then you might want to join the Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association (TOGA) at its 2025 annual meeting.
The meeting is set for 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, in Watermen’s Hall on the Gloucester Point campus of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.
The program will feature the latest in oyster gardening information and resources. The highlight of the day is the introduction of the newly updated Virginia Oyster Gardening Guide, developed in partnership with the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Institute of Marine Science and TOGA. As a special added event, TOGA will conduct its Oyster Gardening 101 class from 10-11:45 a.m. to provide beginning oyster gardeners everything they need to know to set up their own oyster garden. All participants are invited to the social reception from 4-5 p.m. to network with Master Oyster Gardeners and meet fellow oyster enthusiasts.
