The Rappahannock Industrial Academy Alumni Association is seeking applicants for its annual scholarships. The scholarships are open to qualifying African-American students residing in the following counties: Middlesex, Essex and King and Queen. Students may attend public or private school.
For the class of 2025, one scholarship in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded to a student from each county. These scholarship awards will be renewable for up to three additional years for a maximum of $6,000. Eligible applicants must plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, or technical school in the continental United States. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and a commitment to serving their community. All students who meet these criteria are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship application deadline is Thursday, March 6. Applications must be completed using The Community Foundation for a greater Richmond’s online application process at www.cfrichmond.org.
