The Middlesex High School boys basketball team (7-4, 4-1) defeated Tidewater District foe West Point, 66-49, on Thursday, Jan. 9, and lost to Hampton Roads Academy in a non-conference game, 48-41, on Friday, Jan. 10.
The win gives the Chargers a 4-1 win-loss record in Tidewater District play and ranks MHS second in the district behind the Mathews High School Blue Devils, who have not had a loss in district play.
The Chargers will play conference opponent King William at home today, Thursday, Jan. 16, and will play in the Virginia Hoopfest at Westmoreland High School on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The JV game is at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game follows at 7ish.
