An Urbanna wedding photo is the cover of the January-February edition of Virginia Living magazine.
The edition’s theme: “Tying the Knot” features 10 unusual Virginia weddings including that of “Meghan and Mark,” who were married aboard the 46-foot catamaran Nauticat, based in Urbanna. Captain Steve Bland was at the helm on June 8, 2024 when wedding vows were exchanged floating on the Rappahannock River. One of Mark’s best friends flew in from California to be the wedding official.
When guests arrived at what was supposed to be their engagement party, the couple announced they had gotten married earlier in the day, the brief story states. The boat then became the unusual place for the reception.
The couple and friends also had lunch at “The Table at Wilton,” located in Deltaville.
