Five MHS wrestlers awarded silver medals

The Middlesex High School (MHS) wrestling team finished fourth in a six-team tournament and had five MHS wrestlers win silver medals at the Lancaster Duals Invitational meet at Lancaster High School on Dec. 2l.

The Chargers defeated Essex High School, 60-17, and Northumberland High School, 54-24, and lost to Franklin County High School, 40-38, Bethel High School, 54-22, and to LC Bird High School, 41-40.

Charger grapplers Connor Graulich, Joseph Brandon, Andrew Harrow, Kyle Curtis and Cole Glasco all took silver medals in the tournament by winning four out of five events in their weight classes.

The Chargers will compete in the Mathews Invitational on Jan. 4, 2025 at Mathews High School and will participate in a quad-meet on Jan. 8, 2025 at Essex High School. The teams competing along with Middlesex and Essex are King William and Rappahannock of Warsaw.
