Deltaville Christmas Boat Tour and cookie fest success

A Deltaville Community Association (DCA) Christmas Cruise boat takes cruise-goers on a Dec. 13 tour of Jackson Creek. A DCA cookie fest/contest was also presented in conjunction with the tour. “Volunteers too numerous to name made the evening,” Thyra Harris writes in her column this week. (Photo by Stepen Blue)

Those of us living around Deltaville and visitors that came for the Deltaville Community Association Christmas Boat Tour were treated to a cookie fest/contest won by Katie McCue with her snicker doodles, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree with Stephen Blue’s train sets running under the tree at the DCA building. Volunteers too numerous to name made the evening. Marcy Tompson’s brother and his wife from Texas might have come the greatest distance for the magic of Jackson Creek. Bill Pace enjoyed having his sister, Nan from Richmond who has a desire to live around Deltaville. The Grinch, elves and Santa were at the Deltaville Boatyard to greet guests to the boat.

Wishing all around Deltaville a beautiful holiday and Happy New Year.
