Christchurch School (CCS) conducted its annual John Stone ‘86 Memorial Basketball Tournament last weekend in the school’s Yarbrough Gymnasium.
Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach) won the championship round 60-57 over Caroline High School (Caroline County) to claim the tournament trophy. Cape Henry had defeated Fork Union Military Academy (FUMA) 64-41 on Friday night to advance to the championship.
Christchurch defeated FUMA 55-47 on Saturday to win the consolation round.
Middlesex County student Trey Fitchett ‘26 had a monster game against FUMA, hitting seven 3-pointers in the second half of action alone.
Christchurch sits at 5-4, with wins over Life Christian Academy, Southwest Virginia Academy, Hampton Roads Academy, Summit Christian Academy and FUMA.
