Ralph Dean Russell, born April 29, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed into the arms of our Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, after a difficult battle with cancer.
Dean, was affectionately known, loved by all, embraced life, adored his family, and never meet a stranger. He had a life-long appreciation for music, antique cars, riding motorcycles, and sailing. Dean was fond of reminiscing about annual motorcycle road trips taken with siblings, his adventures growing up in Ohio, and stories of his children.
Dean hosted weekly pool night, where friends and family gathered to have fun, created hand-made heirlooms for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a regular participant at car shows.
After his graduation from Penn State University, Dean began his first career teaching math and home construction. He was admired and respected by his students, and developed life-long relationships. After he retired from teaching, Dean was a purchasing agent in the modular home industry, where he proudly used his math skills to develop budget models.
Dean was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Margaret Russell. He is survived by his children, Daniel, Dawn, Timothy, Becky, and Kelly; and siblings, Richard, Diane, John, Timothy, and Jane. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial will be conducted by his children in Pennsylvania in the spring, and a final pool night, to honor his memory and celebrate his life, will be conducted in Deltaville in the coming weeks.
