Christchurch School Director of Athletics and Co-Curriculars John Dehm announced this week that Christchurch will mark its return to 11-man football in fall 2025, after a highly successful two-year run of fielding eight-man football teams.
Christchurch is enjoying a growing enrollment, with this year’s ninth grade class the biggest in recent history. This positive growth and momentum at the school, coupled with the increased participation of multi-sport athletes, makes the return to traditional 11-man football possible.
Joel Jorgensen will continue to serve as head coach of the program.
In addition, VISAA Hall of Fame Coach Ed Homer will be returning to the squad to serve as offensive line coach for the Seahorses.
