More than 200 runners are expected to participate in the annual Jingle Bell 5K and Kip and Patty Campbell Kids Fun Run set for the morning of Dec. 7 at the Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield.
Students at St. Clare Walker Middle School are designing and making 3D medals for top finishers. Pizza and beverages will be served for the post-race celebration, and Santa will be ready to visit with all ages. Teams of runners and walkers are preparing to outshine each other with holiday costumes. A sleigh full of school supplies is being collected and the Middlesex High School band will be on hand to get everyone pumped for the season.
