All are invited to attend the Christ Church Parish (Episcopal) annual Live Nativity outdoor display 5-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the church in Christchurch. (Rain date: Dec. 13).
This depiction of Bethlehem the night that Jesus was born offers an interactive display where you can observe Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, shepherds, wisemen, and the angel surrounded by assorted livestock. Sing Christmas carols, eat cookies and sip hot cider. There will be a bonfire to keep you warm.
What better way to begin this joyous season than singing with members of our community! Before and after the event, the manger will be illuminated throughout the season with silhouette figures of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the Angel Gabriel. Henry Smith, manager of the Boatyard at Christchurch, donated his time and materials to create these figures. If you know Henry, thank him for his kind efforts. Â
