Evelyn Jean Hayden, 82, of West Point, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024.
Jean was a people person who loved to go out and be amongst everyone. She had many close personal friends and was a sincere animal lover. She will be missed by many.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Sibley; her husband of 28 years, Raymond Hayden; and her siblings, William “Dickie” Sibley, Frances Haigter, Russell Sibley and Shirley Carter.
She is survived by a sister, Peggy Sanford; sisters-in-law, Patsy Sibley and Becky Sibley; two special nieces, Deborah Carter and Leigh Ann Carter; her faithful furry companion, Benjie; as well as many other family members and friends.
As an animal lover, Jean would have appreciated donations made in her memory to a local animal shelter, or the West Point Volunteer Rescue Squad P.O. Box X, West Point, VA 23181.
