The Middlesex High School (MHS) Lady Charger volleyball team defeated visiting King and Queen Central in three sets — 25-9, 25-13, and 25-18 — in the semifinals of the Tidewater District Tournament Monday.
The Lady Chargers hosted West Point on Oct. 30 in the championship. West Point defeated King William in the semifinals on Monday.
Against King and Queen, Lady Charger middle hitter Karlie Morris eclipsed the MHS kills record of 688 set by Airiana Beverley a few years ago.
The Lady Chargers will host the opening round of the Region 1A Tournament on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. Their opponent is yet to be determined.
