Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School senior students at the Rappahannock Community College Glenns campus measure water quality Wednesday, Oct. 16, and collect water samples every two weeks at the Urbanna Town Marina to monitor the health and growth of 100 oyster spat and to study the effects of ocean acidification on oyster health and growth.
This is the eighth year of continuous data that has been collected by CBGS students in partnership with Dr. Emily Rivest, associate professor of Ecosystem Health at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.
