The annual Middlesex High School Homecoming Parade is set for 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11.

The parade will start at the Middlesex County Historic Courthouse and proceed northwest on General Puller Highway (Route 17 Business) to MHS.

The road will be closed to regular vehicle traffic from the traffic light to MHS. Traffic will be detoured around the closed section.

Hundreds are expected to line General Puller Highway in Saluda to cheer on the Chargers.

Later in the evening, Middlesex will take on the West Point Pointers in homecoming football action on Bristow-Boxley Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Middlesex High School will crown its homecoming queen and king during the game’s halftime, following the presentation of the MHS homecoming court. After the football game, there is usually a student dance in John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium that concludes at 10:30 p.m.
