Maritime museum to ‘let it Rip,’ in series finale Saturday

Rip Tide

The award winning local band,  “Rip Tide,” will perform at the “Groovin’ in the Park” on the waterfront stage of Deltaville Maritime Museum (DMM) this Saturday evening, Sept. 28.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 after noon on Sept. 28 and at the door. Fretboard magician Isaac Boswell will open for Rip Tide 5-6 p.m. and Rip Tide comes on at 6 p.m. Children younger than 12 are free. This is a rain or shine event and the weather is looking good after a soggy Friday.

The Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park is also capping off the Holly Point Market season this same Saturda from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Produce is on the Holly Point Market vendor mix, but the day is more than just produce as art, crafts, peanuts, photographs, live music, model trains, hot food, and a wealth of unusual items fill the market.

The Wings, Wheels and Keels event up at the airport, is also happening Sept. 28 this year, so there’s plenty of time to swing by the Maritime Park first anytime from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and pick up that special something you need and come back at 4 p.m. for Groovin’ In the Park.

Pleasant Living magazine’s  2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 “Best of the Rivah” award-winning band RipTide takes the stage from 6-8pm with their very popular mix of classic rock and Country music favorites. The Rip Tide band  includes lead singer Steve Utley;’ female vocalist, Lori Javier; lead guitarist Dave Jones; rhythm / lead James Dunn; bassist Ron Reagan; and drummer, Joey DiLuccia.
