Gerald Lee Ware, 87, of Jamaica, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024.
Mr. Ware was born Oct. 5, 1936, the son of the late Samuel and Rydie Ware. Mr. Ware proudly served his community as the owner and operator of Wares Servicenter LC for more than 65 years. Gerald loved going to classic car shows, gardening and working long hours at his shop. He attended Church View School, prior to joining the working world.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Balderson Ware.
He is survived by his three sons, Curtis (Beverly), Samuel (Diane) and David (Sarah); grandchildren, Kashae and Airiana Beverley; and his great-granddaughter, Skylar Beverley.
A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at Glebe Landing Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home.
