Scores of runners participate in four-way cross country meet at Middlesex High School

Scores of runners surge forward at the start of the season’s inaugural home boys cross country meet at Middlesex High School (MHS) on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The MHS runners are flanked by competitors from Essex, Lancaster and King William. The Charger boys placed third at the meet, scoring 27. The Red Devil boys captured first place, with 85 points, and the Cavalier boys edged the Charger boys by scoring 28 points. Essex did not have enough boy runners to compete as a team. On the girls side, Middlesex placed first, scoring 35 points, followed by the King William girls, who scored 31. The Essex and Lancaster girls did not have enough participants to compete as a team.
