Things start strong for Middlesex JV volleyball team

For the first time in at least seven years, Middlesex High School’s junior varsity volleyball team defeated the Rappahannock of Warsaw JV team. The overtime victories in two sets, 29-27 and 26-24, came in the season opener on Aug. 27, when the JV Lady Chargers sent the JV Lady Raiders home with a loss.

“This win marks the first time in my seven years of coaching the JV team that we have beaten Rappahannock,” said JV Lady Charger Coach Jennifer Harrison. “I couldn’t be more proud of the hard work this entire team has put in.”

Coach Harrison said the team “can practice at a higher level because our entire team pushes themselves and each other to be better. They all have the desire to win and become better, and every player has a part in every win we get.”
