Michael Robert Croxton Sr., 80, of Hartfield passed away at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024.
Michael was survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Lisa Shaffer; his son, Michael Robert Croxon Jr.; a brother, James Edward Croxton; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeaseased by a brother, John “Junior” Richard Croxton Jr.; and a sister, Julia “Judy” Ann Adams.
He was a master carpenter and built many houses in the local area. He was also a waterman for many years, and later in life he prided himself in building intricate model work boats.
Michael retired to Hartfield. He loved to watch birds and squirrels, as well as take cruises.
A celebration of life is planned for 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Cobbs Creek on Route 198.
