Leroy Millard (LM) Carlton Jr., 92, of Urbanna passed away at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024 after a short illness.
LM was preceded in death by his wife, Marta; his mother, Oleathia Heath Carlton; his father, Leroy Millard Carlton Sr.; and a brother, Albert Heath “Colonel” Carlton.
He is survived by many cousins.
He was a graduate of Christchurch School, attended the University of Virginia and served his country in the United States Army.
LM retired from the Washington, D.C. area as a computer programmer to his childhood home in Urbanna. He loved to sit on his front porch overlooking Heath’s Cove and talk about family history, automobiles and airplanes.
A memorial service is being planned sometime in the future.
Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda is assisting the family.
