Nancy Lee Dixon, 69, of Saluda, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Nancy was born on Dec. 7, 1954, to parents, Louis and Mary Rohling in Cincinnati, Ohio.
After graduating from McAuley High School in 1973, she went on to study medical technology at the University of Cincinnati, and eventually continued her education in art history at the Ohio State University.
Nancy began her career in the medical laboratory and later transitioned into the medical sales side of the industry.
In 1985, Nancy met Jim Dixon at Baker Instruments. After the two fell in love and got marred on June 29, 1991, the newlyweds built a carwash. She became the co-business owner of Courthouse Car Wash in Fredericksburg, managing the books and office operations.
Her beloved sons, Matthew and Alexander Dixon, were born in the following years, and she found her true passion in life — becoming a devoted and active mother.
Throughout her life, Nancy spent her time on the water, whether she was boating, swimming or enjoying a day by her pool with her favorite furry companion, Winston. She was an avid reader, pet lover, proud volunteer at the local animal shelter and had a strong appreciation for the arts.  Above all, Nancy was an enthusiastic friend, putting a smile on the faces of those she’s known for years or only just met with her infectious laugh and bubbly personality.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Jim Dixon; her sons, Matt and Alex Dixon; her daughter-in-law, Jenny Dixon; her siblings, Jerry Rohling and Mary Lou Hauser; her best friend, Emily Hughes; and countless others and family members that will carry on her love for embracing life to its fullest.
A celebration of her life is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service.
