Zikirah Morris

Zikirah Morris and Felicity Acevedo

Queen contestant Zikirah Morris and her little miss spat contestant Felicity Acevedo have been working on their service project to raise money for breast cancer awareness. The money raised will be donated to Virginia’s Breast Cancer Foundation to help those who can’t afford screenings and or biopsies. When asked why she chose this project, Zikirah responds, “I’ve had many close and distant relatives who have suffered and had to deal the breast cancer. Though it seems that breast cancer is a common thing, not everyone is able to afford yearly screenings or have the resources available to them. I believe everyone should be able to benefit from the resources used to check yearly to be aware of breast cancer so it can be stopped in the earlier stages!”

While executing their projects to raising money they will be holding two bake sales, one basketball camp, and will be selling spaghetti dinner plates in August.

Zikirah Morris is the daughter of Sharnell Burnett and Tyrel Morris, granddaughter of Dina Hill and Mathew Burnett. She lives in Hartfield, and goes to Middlesex High School. She enjoys tennis, basketball, writing, and being with friends. She plans to go to college and study criminal justice and become a lawyer and eventually a judge. Zikirah’s Little Miss Spat, Felicity is the daughter of Shayna Silva and Felix Acevedo, and granddaughter of Gloria Acevedo. She enjoys drawing, playing games and baking sweet treats. When she grows up she wants to be a doctor to help people who are hurt.
