Queen contestant Elena Fomin and her little miss spat contestant Josie Anton have teamed up for their project to spread awareness about colon cancer. This project was chosen because Elena’s grandmother had colon cancer and it was a shock for her family.
For Elena and Josie’s community service project, their goal is to emphasize the importance of going to the doctor annually, as well as spreading awareness about colon cancer to the community of Middlesex County. Health issues can go under the radar until symptoms are overwhelming, all which could be treated beforehand if noticed by a doctor. Early detection is key!
Elena Fomin is the daughter of Daniel Fomin and Amanda Powell, granddaughter of Maya Fomin, Vlad Fomin, and Kirk Edwards and Melissa Edwards. She lives in Deltaville, and goes to Middlesex High School.
She enjoys cheering and going to the beach. She plans to go to college to become a realtor after high school.
Josie Anton is the daughter of Brittany Anton, granddaughter of Janet and Lee Anton, and Rick Bateman. She enjoys swimming and making people laugh. When she grows up she wants to be a mom.
