Tom Foley

Tom Foley, 78, a beloved figure of Locust Hill, sadly left our world on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, after a life richly lived in service and kindness.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa. and raised in Norristown, Pa., Tom graduated from Bishop Kendrick High School in 1963 and was an active parishioner of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church for many years.

Tom honorably served in the U.S. Navy and had a long, successful career with United Parcel Service (UPS). After retiring, Tom settled down in Locust Hill, where he and Bea enjoyed hosting their family and friends for 28 years. Tom also enjoyed traveling to Aruba each winter.

Known for his generosity and always welcoming everyone into his home, Tom was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives through charitable contributions, especially the annual J.B. Foley Memorial Golf Outing, which would raise money for the Middlesex County Family YMCA and honor his late brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn (Powers) Foley; brothers, Jay Foley and Jack Foley; and left a legacy through Beatrice Foley, his beloved wife; son, Thomas J. Foley Jr. (Tammy Foley); daughter, Shannan Foley (Karla Foley); and grandson, Thomas J. Foley III.

He is survived by sister, Linda (Jack) Ochnich; sister, Karen (the late Daniel) Conners; brother, Gary (Kathy) Foley; sister, Christine (Joe) Gambone; and two sisters-in-law, Joan Foley, and Nancy Foley; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tom’s memory will be a guiding star for all who knew him. In remembrance, a gathering will take place on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 1 p.m., at his home at 356 North Shore Road, Locust Hill, where attendees will honor and reminisce on cherished memories shared.

Tom’s legacy of kindness and love will continue to illuminate our lives, inspiring us with his unwavering compassion and timeless spirit, as we gather to celebrate the profound imprint, he left on each of us. We gather not to mourn the loss of Tom, but to celebrate his life, for in our hearts and stories, his essence lives on eternally.
