Donald (Don) Wayne Balderson was born May 5, 1947 and died Wednesday, July 18, 2024
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Angela and Stanley R. Balderson Sr. He is survived by his brother, Stanley R. Balderson Jr. and Stan’s wife, Susan.
After high school, Don joined the United States Army and was a wounded Vietnam combat veteran. After his military service, he returned to Richmond and was a working partner in the outdoor activities firm Alpine Outfitters. When he left Alpine, he worked for several nuclear power consulting firms, spending a good deal of this time in the state of Minnesota. Coming back to Richmond, he was employed by the company, Acoustical Solutions.
Don retired and lived in Deltaville, where he enjoyed the rest of his life boating on the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay. He was pleased to have many good friends and neighbors in Deltaville. Don also kept close to his Richmond friends.
