The Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association participated in a three-way “Home & Away” match play competition with teams from Indian Creek (Kilmarnock) and Viniterra (New Kent) golf clubs.
Each club fielded a half dozen two-person teams and played a series of three matches at each of the home courses.
In the final competition on June 28 at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club, the Hartfield-based Piankatank River ladies team took first place overall in the competition with a total score of 34.5.
The Viniterra ladies followed in second with 26.5 and Indian River ladies scored 20 points.
