Barbara Jordan Manning, 78, of Ft. Washington, Md., was born on July 15, 1945, in Saluda, to George W. Jordan Sr. and Sadie Baul Jordan.
God called her home to eternal rest on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
At a young age, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and she graduated from St. Clare Walker High School in 1962.
She retired from the federal government in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Joyce Payne and George Jordan Jr.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, Anthony Manning; daughters, Veronica LeGrande (Daryl) and Victoria Dorsey (Don); sister, Eva “Teeny” Knight (Fred); sisters-in-law, Vernona Colbert and Deborah Smith (Cedric); grandchildren, Cheyney Dymond (Adam), Danielle Dorsey and Gabby Dorsey; great-granddaughters, Harley Bryant and Dakota Dymond; and a host of stepchildren, relatives and friends.
Viewing and services were conducted on Wednesday, July 10 in The Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., Indian Head, Md.
