Anne Davis Delozier, 88, of Woodford, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
Anne was born to Robbie and Virginia Davis on Sept. 10, 1935, in Saluda.
Anne is survived by four sons, Donnie Delozier (Denise) of Nashville, Tenn., Larry Delozier (Angie) of Woodford, Dale Delozier (Cathy) of Mineral, Jackie Delozier (Debbie) of Reedville; two grandchildren, Rachel Rico (Blaine) of Rossville, Ga., and Eric Delozier of Mineral; as well as, Ace, her companion (dog); and many loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by Jimmie, her loving husband of 54 years; and a son, Billy Delozier.
Anne served as a Realtor for 32 years and was recognized as a Top Producer for Weichert Realty in Springfield and later at Century 21 Real Estate in Fredericksburg. She was an active member of Kingstowne Baptist Church in Alexandria. After moving to Woodford, she played an integral role in establishing its mission church, Benchmark Baptist Fellowship in Fredericksburg, as church treasurer. She also served on the Building Committee, Ladies Auxiliary, and many other ministries. Reading, listening to gospel or bluegrass music, and attending oyster festivals were among her favorite pastimes. She was passionate about her pets and deeply enjoyed spending time with her family.
A funeral service is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Bowling Green Chapel of Storke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow funeral service at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Benchmark Baptist Fellowship, 10510 Benchmark Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
