Fireworks will once again light up the night sky this weekend in Deltaville, as the Deltaville Community Association hosts the return of Independence Day weekend celebrations once again.
The fireworks will shoot from the outfield of Deltaville Ballpark following the Deltaville Deltas game against the Chesapeake Sharks. The game is expected to conclude at roughly 9 p.m. Shortly after the game, fireworks trailers will pull into center field, and the show will begin about 15-20 minutes after the final out!
Though the ballgame is expected to be sold out by first pitch, there are plenty of viewing opportunities around the ballpark!
Parking
Parking will be available in the Deltaville Community Association (DCA) auxiliary lot (the grass field across the street from Ballpark Road and Zoar Baptist Church). Parking will also be available at the adjacent DCA Community Center and Park, at 17147 General Puller Highway. The large grass field at both locations will be good vantage points for the fireworks. While parking along the edge of Ballpark Road will be restricted, the areas along the side of the road will also be great viewing points. (It is asked that all viewers please be respectful of the cemetery on the east side of Ballpark Road.) Parking is also permitted along General Puller Highway (Route 33).
Every donation, large and small, makes this community event possible. Donations can still be made online at www.DeltavilleFireworks.com, and any overages from 2024 will be used to seed the 2025 fireworks campaign.
