Philippi Christian Church in Deltaville is offering an experimental program called “Disciples Anonymous,” Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in Deltaville and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in Urbanna. The locations will be announced later. It’s a safe and confidential place for participants to seek spiritual solutions to overwhelming problems or situations by following the way of Jesus Christ. The Middlesex County Literary Union Session will meet at Antioch Baptist Church in Saluda on Sunday, June 30, at 10 a.m. The Literary Union is asking all church schools to bring $50 to the June Session to help with the cost of the back-to-school items for the youth. The Literary Union will partner again this year with the Middlesex County NAACP  in its annual Back-to-School-Bash on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Camp Piankatank in Hartfield. Make all checks payable to the Middlesex County Literary Union (MCLU).

The adult Sunday school lesson is entitled, “Fearless Witness,” and the background scripture is from Acts 26:1-11 verses. The Rev. Dr. Fred D. Holmes Jr. will deliver the morning message. The Rev. Dr. Holmes is the pastor of Antioch Baptist Church.


Lower United Methodist Church (LUMC) at 120 Lower Church Road, Hartfield, hopes everyone will join them for worship at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday. Sue Hardman will be the guest speaker and they will offer communion. 

Everyone is invited to join them each Wednesday for a time of group prayer beginning at 5 p.m.
