Alice Thorpe Brewer, a beloved soul who graced this world with her presence for 89 years, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Saluda.
Born on March 3, 1935, to Amos and Mary Thorpe, Alice’s life was a tapestry with kindness, hard work, and unwavering dedication.
For more than five decades, Alice dedicated her professional life to Bowles & Bowles Law Firm in Richmond, as a diligent paralegal. Her commitment and expertise benefited not only the firm but also countless clients who sought justice and guidance. Alice’s unwavering work ethic and passion for the law left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Beyond her illustrious career, Alice found solace and joy in simple pleasures. Her love for knitting, reading, solving puzzles, and cross-stitching illuminated her days and brought warmth to those around her. These hobbies were not just pastimes but reflections of Alice’s creative spirit and attention to detail that she carried into every aspect of her life.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents Amos and Mary Thorpe; brother, Amos Thorpe; and daughter, Nadine Brewer-Selph.
She is survived by her son-in-law, David Selph; grandsons, Jed and Jesse Selph. Their cherished memories of Alice will forever guide them through life’s journey.
