Deltaville Deltas erase 7-4 deficit to defeat Richmond Trash Pandas after earlier succumbing to Tappahannock Tides; slated to take on defending champions El Heaters 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Deltaville
A buzzsaw of pitching took down the Deltaville Deltas in their first road game of the season, but they bounced back in a come-from-behind win at home on Saturday to split a pair of league games in Richmond NABA play. The Deltas fell by the score of 6-4 in Tappahannock last Wednesday, but they erased a 7-4 deficit to defeat the Richmond Trash Pandas 9-7 on Saturday night in Deltaville.
Deltaville moves to 3-1 overall on the season, with a 2-1 league mark, placing them in a three-way tie for fourth place in the 12-team league standings.
This week is a challenging one for the Deltas, as they hit the road twice before returning home. The Deltas beat the 2022 league champion Richmond Brewers on Tuesday night in Richmond 10-6, and face the rejuvenated Richmond Misfits on Thursday night.
On Saturday, the defending 2023 league champions Richmond El Heaters come to Deltaville Ballpark. First pitch is set for 7:30 p.m.
