The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger varsity baseball team had several players make the All-Tidewater District and All-Region 1A baseball teams.
For his pitching efforts, freshman Henry Fleet was named first team All-Tidewater District and second team All-Region 1A. Catcher Luke McMurtrie and designated hitter Nolan Rutkowski were named to the first team All-Tidewater District squad and also to the second team All-Region 1A team.
Two of the Chargers outstanding senior performers Garrison Robins and Jackson Murray were named to the second team All-Tidewater District team. Robins was an outstanding defensive shortstop for MHS this season and contributed greatly with the bat. Murray was named second team All-District for his outfield play and his strong offensive performances with the stick.
MHS ended its 2024 season with a 5-3 Tidewater District win-loss record and a 7-12 overall record. The Chargers season ended in May with a 6-1 loss to the Northumberland Indians in the Region 1A quarterfinals..
