Scott Allen Orrell, 66, of Saluda, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
Scott was born in Richmond on Aug. 21, 1957.
He graduated in 1976 from York Academy in Shacklefords and was a professional driver for more than 40 years working with Pitts Lumber Company, Williams Mail Service, Norton Food Company, Urbanna Lumber Company, and Massey Building Supply. Scott loved restoring and tinkering with antique vehicles or boats, cavorting with pirates, and was known for baking an exceptionally delicious rum cake.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, James Durwood Orrell.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Reynolds Wyker; and stepfather, Franklin D. “Buddy” Wyker of Urbanna; brother, James Lee Orrell (Susan) of Williamsburg; stepsister, Kimberly Wyker Aliff (Henry Payne) of Urbanna; nieces, Jamison Ann Orrell (Sean Curley) of Sylvania, Ohio, Courtney Elizabeth Morris (Scott) of Henrico, and Dandi Aliff Nevill (Zachary) of Glen Allen; nephew, Dylan Alexander Scott (Gaphne) of Midlothian; great-nephew, Elijah Benjamin Morris; and great-nieces, Clara Bowe Morris and Waverly Ann Nevill.
