The grand opening of the Marshall Community Pool in Urbanna is set for Saturday, May 25, at 11:30 a.m. The event will be conducted rain or shine.
The new pool is the culmination of years of planning.
Distinguished guests have been invited.
Town Councilor Larry Chowning will give a history of Taber Park.
Roy Kime, project manager, and former town zoning administrator, will explain, “How We Got Here.”
A representative of the Middlesex Family YMCA has been invited to speak.
After the ribbon cutting, special guests will be invited to take the first dip in the pool!
