Blues/rock super guitarist and No. 1 Billboard blues artist Bobby Messano will headline the Saturday, May 25, Memorial Day weekend “Groovin’ in the Park” concert at the Deltaville Maritime Museum (DMM) and Holly Point Nature Park, 6-8 p.m.
Area favorite keyboard man Ray Pittman leads off for Bobby at 5 p.m. Tim Moore, formerly with Cedar Creek, will handle Pittman’s percussion and backup vocals. Gates open at 4 p.m.
Messano commented last week, “I am really looking forward to coming back to Deltaville. It is one of my favorite venues. So sorry I couldn’t make it last year. Steve Conklin will be joining me on bass and Tony Provosti on percussion. We are all looking forward to seeing everyone.”
Just Google “Bobby Messano” for everything about Bobby and his place in rock and roll history or check out his website at: www.bobbymessano.com, on his Wikipedia page or YouTube.
This Groovin’ concert will be presented in DMM’s spacious waterfront park, overlooking pristine Mill Creek. Come by land or water. Seating and music will spread out to the north toward DMM’s tea house food court. This is a “bring your own lawn chair, cooler, and picnic” event. Some metal folding chairs are close by if you can’t bring yours.
