Viola C. Tittle, 63, of Urbanna, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Viola’s sole ambition in life, which she surpassed each and every day, was to be the best wife, mother, and grandmother she could be. Her heart overflowed with love for her family, friends, and the simple pleasures in life — flowers, birds, music, and the contagious happiness of making people smile. Viola’s caring and nurturing soul attracted friends wherever she went.
Viola is preceded in death by her parents, Linwood and Nancy Shackleford Sr.; husband, Keith R. Tittle; sister, Lynn Dentler; and brother, Linwood Shackleford Jr.
Viola is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Lou and Mark Miller; her children, Justin Paul, Jackie Sibley, and Luke and Susan Dize; her grandchildren, Lily, Caleb, Joshua, Cassious, and Alora; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends will gather to remember Viola for a celebration of life at Beaverdam Park, 9537 Fary’s Mill Road, Gloucester, on Friday, May 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad or any Middlesex fire department.
Viola’s family extends their gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital for their support and compassion during this difficult time. The Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family.
