Support Middlesex youth — volunteer at Foundry

Last Friday night at The Foundry Christian youth center in Topping, the outfits were outrageous! That was because it was Bad Fit Fashion Night for the May Game Night. Every month, The Foundry offers a Friday evening game night from 6 to 8 p.m. They will continue this throughout the summer months. This month contestants got to sign up and come dressed with a Bad Fit!

The fashion show was emceed by Bonnie Wells and Jim Rice was the judge with Middlesex High School graduate, Tamia Mills. The comments and runway walks caused much laughter.

In addition to Games Night, The Foundry has opened an after-school program on Tuesday and Friday afternoons which operates on the Middlesex County Public Schools calendar. They had to limit enrollment this school year while they geared up to offer more afternoons and perhaps longer hours.

The Rev. Aaron Wells, The Foundry coordinator, said, “We hope to raise enough funds for this nonprofit youth center to grow. We have wonderful dedicated volunteers this school year and we hope to increase our volunteer base for the fall.”
